					<description><![CDATA[The track was built in 1972 by Marlowe L Smith and I’m not sure who else helped him. It was called Ellisville Speedway and it was a dirt track.  And yes Ellisville Speedway and Lake City Speedway were both dirt.  Some of the BEST Speedweek races were held at Ellisville every February during the 80’s with the likes of Freddy Flinstone Flyer, Jeff Purvis just to name a couple.]]></description>
