Good grief!!!! Whatever will you do with yourself if you aren’t cluttering up this country’s airports 100 days a year???? What will happen to the rental car companies — they won’t have any reasonably priced autos available to the masses!!!! You’ll have to learn how to make a decent job of housework!!!! Perhaps you can learn how to pour concrete???? Take up knitting???? Write a book???? How will you stave off colossal boredom if you’re not traveling???? Where will the adrenalin rush from avoiding getting punched out by New Yorkers for cutting the french fry line come from???? With no more adventures to write about, there’ll be no more contact with your adoring fans. Why you’ll be left sitting on your roof, staring blankly out into the Pacific, desperately ringing your little bell calling for a fresh glass of iced tea to be brought, while the rest of us, who thoughtfully left more than enough new tracks off our lists to provide us with something to do for the foreseeable future, go on our way enjoying ‘the sport of kings’ in moderation, always leaving sufficient excuses for travel for next year, and the next, and the next — soothsayers are we!!!! If you’re going to become a 24-7 resident of San Clemente you should immediately arm yourself, so you’ll be prepared when the ravaging rabble from LA sweep through the affluent bedroom communities to the south in search of reparation treasures.
