Hello.

Its always interesting to read stories and views of people overseas about the tracks at Christchurch - as I consider them to be the best anywhere.
I have been to Western Springs and found the seating areas not as good as some of the South Island tracks.

I do agree though that Ruapuna and Woodford Glen have the best venues for spectators and they are also out of the way from troubling others with noise problems, although Ruapuna Speedway have had some problems with people complaining about noise and now start at 6.30 and are encouraged to finish by 10pm.

I have not been to Woodford Glen in a long time as it is over the otherside of town and Ruapuna is easier to get to. Also has the faster racing most of the time.
Solo Bikes and Sidecar racing used to be a large highlight of the racing at Ruapuna but unfortunately due to track surface dangers, numbers of riders or lack of interest and promotion they have disappeared for now, but hopefully on your next visit they will be back.

Ruapuna Speedway used to be much better as they had a very high quality of Sprintcar, Midget Solo bike and Sidecar riders.
