My father, and several farming/racing friends loved the sport of racing and built this track from the ground up. I spent almost every Saturday night at Airport Raceway (and our previous track, Wallbanger Speedway) since I was 8. Their goal was that it was fast, competitive, and the best track there was. They very much enjoyed the speedway. Dad (Steve Proehl) has moved on to heaven, but I will never forget those Saturday nights. Thank you again.
