Hi Truman, Nice to hear from you. That sounds like a lot of fun to be a kid and follow your dad racing all over Florida. Yes, send me some pictures if you have them. Best, Randy

My name is Truman Cook (jr) and I will try to getcha some pictures of my dad, Truman Cook(sr) racing around 1968-1970. He raced there the whole time they were open, beginning to the end. He had his 4 kids in tow. I am the oldest of his three boys-I was born 12-2-57, our sister was oldest child. My dad and his brother Talmadge COOKIE Cook and many friends started building cars for each other and painted them all red with white roofs and simply UMATILLA on the rear fenders... the cars were based out of what is now known as COOKIES JUNK YARD. I personally remember by memory of me growing up at DELAND RACEWAY, DAYTONA RACEWAY(now known as New Smyrna Speeday, OCALA SPEEDWAY(now known as Bubba's Raceway Park)... and all the other central Florida tracks.

Hi John, That's pretty cool. Do you have any pictures of your 51 Ford stock car. I would love to see them. Best, Randy
