Like you, I watched NASCAR before it was popular to do so. My father was a Pontiac man. I was to out of respect for him. Early ’60’s Fireball and Junior drove Pontiacs and won a lot.
Would listen to the radio each morning before school for an update on Fireball after his Charlotte wreck. Such extensive burn injuries and what a shame for Junior to have been involved in that wreck..
