Hi Randy, Thanks for your note. Yes, I remember your father very well. I've seen racing all over the world at 3,061 tracks in 88 countries. I don't think I have ever seen a more exciting qualifier than your dad, Don Bitner. Now 50 years later I can still see him time trialing his 1961 Chevy #51 up near the wall at the Peoria Speedway.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for your note. Yes, I remember the Fraizer name with Sterling Speedbowl Park. I first went there in high school. I saw some great races there. Sterling is where I became a lifelong Darrell Dake fan. Thanks for taking the time to write. Best, Randy

My favorite driver was Lauren Frazier. He stopped racing to help his mom and dad, Lyle and Mertie run Speedbowl Park and I grew up around the corner on McCue Road. Bring a Frazier had some neat perks at the track, handing out trophy’s, riding with Grandpa in the water truck, combing the bleacher areas day after races for any money and being family friends with some good drivers. Would love to see it make a comeback.

Hi Kay, Thanks so much for your note. I think I might remember your dad from having raced at Peoria. If you find those pictures send me an electronic copy if you can and I will post them. By the way Facebook has an excellent page titled, "Remembering Speedbowl Park Sterling IL. Take care, Randy
