Tidbits. Bear with me a second. I know you want that free iPhone 12.

I am continuing to follow-up on my message about the 2020 presidential polls. About every three days I’ve been adding the most current results. I have now entered, state by state, about 1,000 lines of poll results from about 50 different pollsters. Only two weeks until the election. The polls are definitely pointing in one direction. Will they change before the election? We will all find out soon. In the meantime, you are NOT going to want to miss what I have prepared regarding the 2020 presidential polls. This link will show it all to you.
2020 Presidential Election….This is what the polls are saying
Now let’s get you that iPhone 12 for free*!!!

Almost against my better judgment, I’m sending this message out today. My wife is fond of saying, “no good deed goes unpunished”. Why would that be? I have absolutely no idea.
The title of my message reads, “Get an iPhone 12 for free*!!!” Is that really possible? It is possible but probably not possible for everyone reading this message. I got a free iPhone 12. Does that mean you can as well? Maybe.
There are things in life that people need. There are things in life that people want. Some people will look at something or other and say that they don’t need it and they don’t want it. However, there is one thing that can change their mind. Free! Who doesn’t like free? When something is free all of a sudden the item is not only needed it is wanted!
I was trying to think of folks who might really need an iPhone 12. I conjured up images of several demographics of people who might actually need one. In my mind who were these people?

I’m going to say the people who are still using a flip phone might need a new iPhone. I’m going to say that people who have a phone made by a manufacturer other than Apple night need an iPhone. I’m going to say that the guy I met from Belgium who proudly stated that he only used his cell phone eight minutes a month needs an iPhone.
Now, who really wants an iPhone? The person who is quite happy with a flip phone likely does not want an iPhone. The people who don’t have iPhones but have another manufacturer’s cell phone might want an iPhone. The guy from Belgium? I just can’t help him.
I know that some of you are Apple computer users and some are PC users. I know that some of you own American cars and some foreign cars. What’s a foreign car nowadays anyway? Most who switched over to foreign cars never made the switch back to domestic automobiles.
I would guess that most people started out as PC users. Then many slowly migrated over to Apple products. Of all of the people you know do you know anyone who moved from a PC to an Apple computer and then voluntarily moved back to a PC? I didn’t think so. O.K., you can’t count that crazy neighbor who lives down the street.
That’s pretty much the way it is with Apple iPhones. Once you’ve seen Paree it’s difficult to go back and live on the farm.
I’m lucky in one sense. Our oldest son, J.J., is not only a commercial airline captain for a major U.S. airline but he is also the family tech guru. He is an Apple devotee. He has convinced me, frequently, to buy things I didn’t think I needed at the time but then a week or two later I found them to be indispensable. My wife says that our son is a very good spender of our money.
My two basic Apple items have been the MacBook Pro, a 13-inch computer and various iPhone models upgraded over the years culminating in my current iPhone 11 with a 6.1-inch screen.
I stayed away from the iPad with a 10-inch screen for a decade or more. I figured if I had a 6-inch screen and a 13-inch screen did I really need another product with a 10-inch screen?
I swore I would never get an Apple Watch with a 2-inch screen. Why didn’t I want an Apple Watch? I already had a watch. My “watch” was my iPhone. If I was too lazy to pick up my iPhone I could simply say, “Hey Siri, what time is it”? My wife thinks Siri is listening to our most private conversations. However, this is a discussion for another day.
Speaking of my wife, when she got a new iPad I saw how inexpensive they were. I had to get a new iPad. I was in sales. My wife says that salespeople will buy “$heet on a stick” if it’s a good deal. Is that true?
The reason I hadn’t wanted an Apple Watch was that the screen was so small I couldn’t read anything on the face. Then I realized that I am almost always wearing my glasses. With my glasses, I actually could see the Apple Watch screen. So….I bought an Apple Watch.
Now I happily smile internally when I look at my Apple Watch and see that my resting heart rate is in the 60s. The watch tells me my oxygen level varies from 97 to 99%. My Apple Watch even helps me make sure I am washing my hands for a full 20 seconds!
Now I have an Apple Watch with a 2-inch screen, an Apple iPhone 11 with a 6.1-inch screen, an Apple iPad with a 10-inch screen and an Apple MacBook Pro with a 13-inch screen. I figured I had every Apple product that I really needed…..until I needed to replace my Bose headset.
J.J. gave me a strong recommendation for the Apple AirPods as a Bose replacement. I went over to Costco and picked up the Apple AirPods, a Sony noise-canceling headset and a Bose wireless noise-canceling headset. I figured I would try all three, pick one and return the other two.
I found the AirPods were good during exercise. The Bose wireless headset is simply fantastic on airplanes and listening to movies. I’m a little embarrassed to report that more than one time I’ve gotten off an airplane still wearing my Bose headset and not even realized it!
So with a mindset as described above when my son forwarded the information that I could upgrade to an iPhone 12 for free I was interested. I’m going to give you some of the details. You’ll have to decide if you need this offer. You’ll have to decide if you want this offer. You’ll have to figure out if you qualify for this offer.
I ordered my FREE iPhone 12 online at 5 a.m. last Friday. First of all, I don’t think anyone should be out of bed by 5 a.m. or probably even 7 a.m. if they are retired. I know I’m not.
Why 5 a.m. Pacific time? That was the very first SECOND that someone could place an order for the iPhone 12 in the United States. People used to line up a couple of days in advance at an Apple store to get the latest and greatest iPhone. That was pre-COVID-19. Now people line up electronically.
However, on this particular morning, I also had an early morning flight to Kansas City. It was going to be difficult to drive an hour up to the Los Angeles International Airport for my flight and still be around in a fixed location online to order my phone at 5 a.m. I considered all of my timing alternatives. The best choice was even more draconian than trying to order an iPhone online at 5 a.m. from my master bedroom.

I left the house at 3:30 a.m. This way I could make it to the Tesla supercharger up by LAX by 5 a.m. While I was supercharging I was also ordering my new iPhone 12. I am a big multitasker. Getting two or three things done at one time is what life is all about as I look at it.
Did you know that according to AAA eight out of ten people consider themselves to be excellent drivers? That doesn’t sound possible, does it?
I consider myself an above average techster, not texter, for people in my age group. Am I really? After trying to order my iPhone online on this Friday morning at 5 a.m. maybe not.

Just to make sure that “dad” had the drill J.J. and I went over the entire process from A-to-Z the day before. I thought I had it down….but I guess I didn’t.
I ended up trying to buy the phone for $879 which was not what I should have been doing. Luckily when I went to pay for the phone using my iPhone’s Apple Pay feature the order didn’t go through. It didn’t go through because the phone number embedded in my Apple Pay system, which I have used flawlessly thousands of times, was incorrect. Lucky me. At 5 a.m. I texted our son and he got me back on track. Now my free iPhone is winging its way to my home address.
Before Apple designs these ordering systems I think they should physically stand behind a group of oldsters so they can see where their system is not meeting this group’s needs. If this happened maybe more people would love the tech process than currently do.
O.K., enough about my experiences. You clicked on this message so you could get yourself a free iPhone 12. At least you know I got one and that should give you the encouragement you need to get one for yourself.
This offer comes from AT&T. If your cell phone carrier is AT&T you can take advantage of this offer. If you have another carrier they may have good offers but I don’t think their offer will be as dramatic as that offered by AT&T.

This offer is not going to last forever. If you think this is something you want to get you need to act quickly. In order to get the free iPhone 12 you’re going to have to have an iPhone 8 or newer.
That phone must be paid off as in free and clear. Why? Because you’re going to have to trade in your current iPhone 8 or newer model in order to get the free iPhone 12.
Do you know what your current phone is actually worth on the open market? You can find out by going to swappa.com among other places.

When I decide that it’s time to upgrade phones I have always sold my current phone using Craigslist. Why Craigslist? I enjoy meeting people. I have sold every one of my used cars, used computers and used cell phones on Craigslist for the past 10-15 years. I have only met nice people using this process.
The rumor that you are going to be abducted, kidnapped and worse seems to be a little bit overblown when using Craigslist. It doesn’t make very good news copy to tell folks that Randy met his Craigslist people in a nearby Ralph’s parking lot. There he let them drive off into the sunset with his 2013 Lexus RX 350 without so much as looking at their driver’s license ….and they came back, does it? No, not much of a story but that’s how I did it. The middle-aged couple paid me $1,500 over the top condition Kelly Bluebook price. You just gotta size up folks and trust ‘em.
In order to get this free phone from AT&T, you’re going to have to have an AT&T unlimited plan. Do you have an unlimited plan? We have the unlimited elite plan, which qualified us for this program. Not all unlimited plans qualify. By the way we pay $59/month per line (family plan) for the unlimited elite AT&T plan. This plan truly is unlimited with every option including tethering, which I use all the time. An AT&T rep will even come over to the house twice a week and massage my lower back.
I’d recommend you get in touch with AT&T, or your carrier if it’s not AT&T, to get your questions answered on this opportunity. I’d love to hear back from the people who do have AT&T and meet the requirements and ultimately get their free iPhone 12.
I might point out that this offer does NOT cover sales tax. I told you that I was going to give you the opportunity to get a free iPhone 12 not to pay your state sales tax.

The AT&T offer gives you $800 in “credits”. I decided to upgrade my iPhone 12 from 64 GB of storage to 128 GB of storage. No one wants to have a really cool phone and then run out of storage, do they?
This storage upgrade bumped up the cost of my phone from $799 on the open market to $879. However, AT&T was giving a credit of $30 and the aforementioned credits of $800 knocking my cost down to just 49 bucks. By the way, AT&T charges a $30 activation fee. That will show up on our bill in the future and no getting around it.
AT&T was willing to finance my $49 expense over a period of 30 months at an interest rate of just 25.99% computed and compounded daily. This would make my monthly payment $317.40 for 30 months. Wait! I got that wrong.
I was just kidding. AT&T is not charging any interest whatsoever. I could finance my $49 expense over 30 months at a cost to me of about a buck and a half per month.

So here I was. I was trading in my iPhone 11. It’s red. The new phone will be red. My Apple Watch is red. My wife says that’s too feminine. I told her I’m in touch with my feminine self.
According to Swappa.com my iPhone 11 is worth about $550-$600. Yes, one of the best things about all Apple products is that they maintain their value so well compared to their competitors. If you don’t have an Apple product check out the value of your equipment on Swappa. I think you’ll see a greater amount of depreciation year to year with non-Apple computers and phones.
So….I’m trading in a $600 phone for an $879 phone. I’m saving money with the AT&T offer and getting the latest and greatest phone. I’m paying about a buck and a half/month for 30 months and $65 to the state of California, which I hope they spend wisely.

If you have an iPhone 8, the minimum phone required for the trade-in, this is even a better deal. According to Swappa an iPhone 8 is worth about 250 bucks. In that situation, you would be trading in a $250 phone (iPhone 8) and getting the $799 iPhone 12 with 64 GB of storage for free. That means that penny-pinching misers a.k.a. financially conservative retirees would actually benefit from the fact that they have lived with an iPhone 8 for years.
In summary, this information isn’t going to help everyone. However, my basic philosophy has always been that if anything that I share in situations like this benefits just one person that makes me happy. Hopefully, it makes the person who benefits happy as well.
Have the people who own flip phones given up reading by now? I suspect so. Have the non-Apple users been so frustrated with my support of Steve Jobs and his friends that they have thrown down their PC and seen it shatter into a thousand pieces? That’s certainly possible.
As an aside when I hear PC folks asking about virus programs to protect their PCs I want to throw my MacBook Pro against the wall in frustration. I want to yell at the top of my lungs, “Get a Mac!” But….I restrain myself and move on down the line.
Are the owners of Apple iPhones, iPhone 8 and newer, just a little bit interested in this offer? Maybe. I’m sure AT&T can work out something for you.
Not everyone wins the lottery. However, if you are one of those people who does win the “lottery” after having read this message way to go. It was worth it. All of those Randy Lewis newsletter subscription fees you paid are now coming back tenfold.
From here I would recommend a little self-education if you need it.

I always like hearing your comments about what I share. Thanks to all of the folks who have written back to simply say, “hey”. I’m especially interested to learn of the experiences of others who make this AT&T program work.

One more thing. You might want to tell those close to you that you are getting this brand new free iPhone 12 now. Why? If you don’t you might get a surprise Christmas present that you won’t really be needing.
