Best Memories:

I guess my most notable trackchasing achievement in Nevada is that 15 of the thirty-three Silver state tracks I’ve seen came with a Las Vegas address. I haven’t seen that many different tracks in one city anywhere else.

A highlight was seeing my first ever F1 race back in the early 80s in a parking lot….at Caesar’s Palace. I’ve been to all of the “way out in the desert” Nevada permanent ovals. I’ve seen nearly a dozen “one-off” racetrack setups on or near the Vegas strip.

I’ve been to Las Vegas well over 100 times. When I worked in Phoenix my sales territory included Las Vegas. This gave me a chance to go there for a full week every month for a year. Back then Vegas wasn’t that crowded. Now it’s a mess. Oh well, I did see Dick Trickle race at the old Craig Road Speedway. Dick’s brother Chuck is a car dealer in Las Vegas.
